Go to app.offanetwork.org/register/. You will be prompted to create a short profile covering your general location, land or farming type. It is simple to set up and there is no obligation to proceed once you have registered.

Offa is open to farmers, land managers, contractors, advisers and rural businesses. Anyone involved in the farming sector who wants to collaborate, share opportunities or access rural services can register.

Joining Offa is currently free while the network is being built. A simple subscription will be introduced over time to support the platform as new services are added, but the core connection service will remain practical and accessible.

Offa is in its early launch phase, actively growing the network. The platform currently focuses on land partnerships — connecting landowners with farmers for grazing, cropping and flexible land agreements. Additional features, including equipment exchange, buildings and contracting, are in development and will be introduced as the platform grows.

OFFA takes its inspiration from King Offa of Mercia, best known for Offa's Dyke, one of Britain's most famous boundaries. Local folklore tells of stiles and crossing points that helped people move across those boundaries. Whether history or legend, we like the symbolism. Offa is launching with land partnerships at its core, connecting landowners and farmers for grazing, cropping and flexible arrangements. The roadmap includes equipment exchange, buildings (storage and housing), and a contracting function. The longer-term ambition is a wider rural network that helps optimise machinery, workforce, expertise and other shared resources across the farming sector.

Currently, Offa is focused on land partnerships. Landowners can make underused land visible to relevant farmers; farmers and graziers can find land suited to their enterprise, including seasonal or longer-term options. Equipment exchange, buildings and contracting features are in development and will be added to the platform in due course.

After registering, you create a profile that describes what you are offering or looking for. This covers your location, land or farming type, availability and timing, and basic farm details. Once your profile is live, it becomes visible to relevant members of the network and Offa highlights potential matches based on practical farming factors.

Neither exactly. Offa is a network built to make relevant introductions between farmers, landowners and rural businesses. It is not a marketplace: there are no transaction fees, no commission charges and no agent. It is not a passive directory: Offa actively highlights relevant matches based on location, land type, timing and farming needs. It creates the introduction; everything after that is between the parties directly.

Yes. When Offa identifies a potential match, you decide whether to proceed. Contact details are only shared when both sides agree. All conversations, negotiations and any eventual arrangements are handled directly between you. Offa enables the introduction; it does not manage land, livestock or agreements on your behalf.

The Offa Micro-Grant Programme offers grants of up to £500 to support practical, farmer-led initiatives that benefit the wider farming community. Eligible activities include farm walks, soil health workshops, farm safety events and knowledge-sharing gatherings. Grants can cover both capital and revenue costs, and are particularly well suited to projects aligned with SFI, regenerative farming and local network-building.
